Fueling of space shuttle Atlantis’s external fuel tank with 535,000 gallons of super cold liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen was completed slightly ahead of schedule at 4:58 a.m. EDT. Tanking began on time at NASA Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Pad 39A at 2:01 a.m. EDT.
