Team,
I am pleased to inform you that yesterday NASA granted United Space Alliance six, one-month extensions to the Space Program Operations Contract (SPOC), beginning on April 1, 2011. The value of this agreement, if all of the one-month options are exercised, is $436,480,084. At this time, NASA has exercised the options through July.
Under SPOC, USA provides support to NASA for: mission design and planning; software development and integration; astronaut and flight controller training; system integration; flight operations; vehicle processing, launch and recovery; vehicle sustaining engineering; flight crew equipment processing; and space shuttle and International Space station-related support to the Constellation Program. Our NASA partner continues to have absolute confidence in our team in executing Shuttle operations safely and successfully. As always, it is your performance and customer support that make this successful partnership possible.
Congratulations to all of you.
Thx, gb
