Description
This action has been awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. In compliance with this Act, the Government posts this notice that NNJ10TA07S was awarded as a firm fixed priced competitive Space Act Agreement using NASA’s Space Act authority and Recovery Act funds to stimulate effort within the private sector to develop and demonstrate human spaceflight capabilities. This effort is intended to foster entrepreneurial activity leading to job growth in engineering, analysis, design, and research, and to economic growth as capabilities for new markets are created. The Boeing Company’s investment is to accelerate their Commercial Crew Vehicle design through Systems Design Review (SDR) milestone as well as to conduct technology and manufacturing demonstrations. This design was previously proposed for the Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) up through the Systems Requirements Review (SRR) level.
