SUBJECT: Reminder: Special ‘Visionary’ Open Forum at Mega Bites, Sept.
9, 4 – 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 4 – 6 p.m., the Ames Exchange is sponsoring a very special event at Mega Bites as part of Ames’ on-going 70th anniversary celebrations. On that occasion, several of the center’s up-and-coming visionaries will offer their thoughts on what Ames may look like 70 years in the future. Topics to be covered include the space economy, evolution of computers, biological sciences, intelligent systems, human space exploration and the Ames institution. This event is intended to be thought provoking, entertaining, enlightening and fun. The Ames Exchange thinks that everyone, speakers and attendees alike, will have a great time.
The format will be similar to that for a Pete’s ‘Hot Topics’ or Happy Hour event. In fact, this event will take the place of the regular Ames Exchange Happy Hour for the month of September. Exchange Council members will serve beverages at standard prices and complementary hors d’oeuvres and snacks will be available. The entire Ames community is invited and encouraged to attend.
