Description
NASA/GRC has a requirement for Structurally Integrated Thermal Protection System (SITPS) Demonstration Panels. NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from COI Ceramics, Inc based on the requirement for their proprietary bonding technology developed under a previous NASA contract.
The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26.
The Sole Source is under the authority of FAR reference 6.302-1.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 noon local time on 08/26/09. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Interested organizations must be eligible to receive ITAR and EAR data and agree to sign a NF-1737 in order to access technical requirements documents.
Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
