Description

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for a course entitled “Creativity Training.” The objective of the training is to expand NASA Langley Research Center employees’ creative thinking and innovation. This training will provide learners with a customized training process for idea development, individual mindsets of creative leaders and maintaining cultural mood and momentum for creativity with focus on applicability to NASA and LaRC. The level of training will be a train-the-trainer level, so that students will take away the ability to lead the training onsite without the necessity of later classes. The vendor shall be responsible for providing all training materials, to include but not limited to participant materials to reinforce points covered throughout the training, viewgraphs, videotapes, materials and supplies for exercises, and course completion certificates. The vendor shall conduct one 2-day training session and one 1-day training session to include case studies, workshops, and exercises to the maximum extent possible to foster student participation. Training shall be held at NASA’s Langley Research Center August 19-20 for 15 participants and August 25, 2009 for 10 participants.

NASA/NSSC intends to purchase the training course from Play, 1801 East Cary Street, Suite 200, Richmond, VA 23223. Pursuant to FAR 13.106, the acquisition of these services has been determined to be reasonably available from only one source.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on August 12, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.

Capabilities and qualifications should be submitted to Eli Ouder at eli.c.ouder@nasa.gov.
