Description
The California Institute of Technology’s (Caltech) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), operating under a prime contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), is seeking the interest of Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs) to provide Reliability Engineering Support Services.
BACKGROUND: JPL is in the process of identifying the number of potential companies that perform Reliability and Mission Assurance activities for NASA Flight projects.
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Specifically, JPL is interested in SDBs that engage in or could provide local personnel to support the following activities:
(A) Perform reliability analyses to include electronic parts stress analysis (PSA), worst case analysis (WCA), failure mode, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA), problem/failure reporting reliability assessments, modeling prediction trade off studies, systems evaluations and identifying engineering corrective actions; (B) Perform environmental analyses to include dynamic evaluations and testing (vibration, acoustic, and shock); natural space environmental modeling; thermal evaluation, testing and reporting; electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing and reporting; and (C) Perform probablistic risk assessments (PRA) and systems engineering on NASA flight hardware or spacecraft.
