Earth Observation: 10 Years of Aura Legacy
The Aura atmospheric chemistry satellite celebrates its 10th anniversary on July 15th, 2014.
Since its launch in 2004, Aura has monitored the Earth’s atmosphere and provided data on the ozone layer, air quality, and greenhouse gases associated with climate change. In this video, NASA Goddard scientists Paul Newman and Bryan Duncan describe the remarkable changes that the Aura satellite has witnessed in its first ten years of Earth observation.
