NASA MODIS Image of the Day: April 19, 2007 – Dust Storm over the Nile Delta
Much of the Nile Delta is obscured by dust in this image captured by the MODIS on the Terra satellite on April 17, 2007. Its green color, a contrast to its sandy and arid surroundings, is barely visible through the dust.
The storm has blown dust out over the Mediterranean Sea as well, covering up the edge of the coastline, which is outlined in black. There are white clouds on the right side of the image, which also contrast with the tan color of the dust storm.
