Today’s Shuttle Launch Postponed
A 24-hour scrub of the STS-115 Shuttle launch has been called by NASA Mission Managers due to a concern with Fuel Cell 1 of the Orbiter. Troubleshooting will continue throughout the day.
Atlantis and its six astronauts are now set to lift off not earlier than Thursday 7 September at 16:03 GMT from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
If Atlantis is not launched by Friday 8 September, the flight will most probably be delayed to late October.
Details on ESA-TV coverage of the launch will be mailed as soon as the launch date has been confirmed.
