Changes Needed to Spur Innovation in Aerospace Technologies
NASA’s Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) faces serious challenges to the innovative use of its research results because of inadequate budgets and a lack of agreement on ARMD’s future direction, says a new report from the National Research Council.
The report offers NASA guidance on prioritizing its aeronautics research portfolio, managing the transfer of technology to external users, and implementing flexible personnel- and financial-management practices.
