ESA TV Service coverage of upcoming launches
Last Saturday, ESA lost the Cryosat mission due to a malfunction of the Rockot launcher. For this reason, the scheduled launch summary TV Exchange was not produced. Broadcasters wishing to obtain a copy of the ESA TV clean feed of the launch are requested to contact the ESA Video Archive, lv@krenotec.be where copies are made available against cost of duplication and shipment.
ESA is now looking ahead to the launch of Venus Express, Europe’s first mission to the Earth’s nearest planetary neighbour, on 26 October. The ESA TV Service will provide extensive pre-event and live launch coverage. Only 26 hours later, SSETI Express, the student-built ESA mission is scheduled for launch, with live ESA TV clean feed coverage from Plessetsk.
The upcoming Ariane 5 on 13 October will be covered by Arianespace. Access to the live feed from Europe’s space port in Kourou is possible via Paris TV tower (Serte). For details, contact the Arianespace press service, mario.delepine@arianespace.fr
