**** SPACE WEATHER OUTLOOK ****
Summary For January 3-9
Category R1 (minor) radio blackouts were observed on 09 January due to
solar flare activity from active sunspot Region 719. Category G1
(minor) geomagnetic storming occurred on 03 and 05 January due to high
speed solar winds from a coronal hole on the sun. Category G2 –
moderate (07 – 08 January), and G3 – strong (07 January) geomagnetic
storming occurred due to clouds of magnetic material from solar flares
on the Sun that impacted Earth.
Outlook For January 12-18
No significant space weather is expected for the next week.
