Background information on the transmission:
The early morning hours of 14 October will see the next ISS launch, bringing another permanent crew to the Station.
Expedition 10 crew is made of Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov.
The launch is scheduled for 03:06 GMT on 14 October and arrival.
The crew will arrive at the ISS on 16 October and stay there for six months.
Russian cosmonaut Yuri Shargin will travel to the ISS with the Expedition 10 crew and return to Earth with the current Expedition 9 crew. In spring 2005, an ESA astronaut might be sitting on that third seat of a Soyuz, for a European mission to the ISS.
The ESA TV Service will provide a live rebroadcast of NASA TV’s coverage of this launch, with mission commentary from Houston, Moscow and Baikonur.
Before the launch, images of last crew preparations (suit-up, farewell, walkout etc.) will be transmitted.
