SIMBA Centrifuge Study Tissues Coming Soon

Status Report From: NASA Space Life and Physical Sciences

This SIMBA (Spaceflight Impacts Microbiome-Brain Axis) centrifuge study was completed on September 23.  This hypergravity investigation used the NASA Ames Research Center 1.22-meter radius centrifuge.  The Space Biology Biospecimen Sharing Program (BSP) Team collected tissues not utilized by the SIMBA study and turned over the samples to NBISC at the end of the week-long dissections.  

These tissues (brown adipose tissues, eye, forelimbs, hindlimbs, kidneys, pancreas, reproductive tract, skin, thymus, and white adipose tissue) will be available for request the Life Sciences Data Archive (LSDA) biospecimen portal soon!
