We heard you loud and clear!
Due to requests from high school teams around the world, the entry deadline for the fifth annual Spirit of Innovation Challenge is extended to Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Now, students and coaches have more time to participate in Webinars, communicate with mentors and develop innovative products.
The competition is free and it's easy to register. To enter, simply answer four questions about your innovative concept by Nov. 29, 2011. We are excited to announce that select finalists will also win a trip to Rio de Janeiro to participate in Rio+20, a once-in-a-decade opportunity. Act now - create your team TODAY!

"I had enormous fun with this last year and am ready to help out again this coming year!!"
- Bal Chohan, Conrad Mentor
Student request for team members:
"Suppose a team created a system for the SLS which would recover the engines, enabling NASA to continue to use the reusable RS-25Ds from the Space Shuttle program and not have to develop the RS-25E? Would anyone be interested in forming a team around this idea?"
- John Christoph, Conrad Student
Mentor question in Aerospace Exploration:
"Traditional wind turbine mast/tower mounting may not be acceptable in higher density residential or urban areas.
Could buildings be designed for or used with unique wind turbine configurations to capture wind power potential for a more integrated and aesthetically pleasing solution as compared to using 'tower' mounted approaches?"
