Google Hangout: Surface Power Considerations and How They Affect Latitude Choice (Mars)

This is a reminder that the next HLS2 Hangouts will now be held on Thursday, June 22, from 1 pm ET till 2 pm ET.
Speakers from NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC), Glenn Research Center (GRC), and NASA Headquarters (HQ) will join HLS2 Steering Committee co-chairs Ben Bussey and Richard (Rick) Davis to present on Surface Power Considerations and How They Affect Latitude Choices:

·       Len Dudzinski ( HQ, SMD, Planetary Science Chief Technologist) will discuss power technology for planetary science and how it can be synergistic with support for human Mars surface power.

·       Tom Kerslake (GRC, solar array engineer) will discuss the impacts of selected Mars landing site options on solar power generation

·       Lee Mason (HQ, STMD Principal Technologist for Power) will discuss technology drivers and current Mars surface power development efforts.

·       Michelle Rucker (JSC, Exploration Missions Planning Office) will discuss estimated Mars surface power needs.
