Spacefest V

Category: Astronomy and Space Science

Event Format: Conference

Date: May 24-27 2013

Location: 3600 W STARR PASS BLVD , Tucson, Arizona 85745 , United States

Spacefest is a gathering of astronauts, space scientists, space artists, and space entrepreneurs. Most of the living moonwalkers and Apollo astronauts, world-class speakers, astronomers, scientists, and artists from movies, TV and print, will meet and greet fans. This year (and the past two) it's been at the JW Marriott Starr Pass resort. Spacefest is held on Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-27. The three-day holiday affords a much-needed extra day for its jam-packed schedule. Besides the scenic venue, Tucson has more than its share of aerospace facilities and expertise. From Kitt Peak National Observatory to Biosphere II, the area bristles with celestial activities for attendees. The show’s local producers, Novaspace, draw fans and VIPs from overseas, as well as local expertise. Speaking at a special Sunday session will be Britain’s popular Prof. Brian Cox, and Cassini-Saturn’s imaging boss Dr. Carolyn Porco. Admission is $20/day, or $50 for the 3 1/2 days. Meals and some talks are extra. Name * Sally Poor Company * Novaspace Job Title * manager Email * staff@novaspace.com Phone * 520-888-2424
