LUNAR SURFACE SCIENCE WORKSHOP
Virtual Sessions
Planetary Protection/PSR Classification
September 30, 2020
and
Science Enabled by Mobility
October 28, 2020
Through this series of short, focused workshops, we continue to solicit input from the community on the potential for new scientific research that could be enabled by human exploration near the lunar south pole. In addition, we want to identify and help to close knowledge gaps associated with crew activities and safety.
The next two sessions of the Lunar Surface Science Workshop (LSSW) will focus on Planetary Protection/Permanently Shadowed Region (PSR) Classification and Science Enabled by Mobility. Both days will be a mix of invited/contributed talks and discussion breakouts.
Virtual Session 4: September 30, 2020
Planetary Protection/PSR Classification
Virtual Session 5: October 28, 2020
Science Enabled by Mobility
Because these sessions of the LSSW are outside the scope of the original workshop, abstracts are being solicited for both sessions.
Abstract submission deadline for both sessions — September 10, 2020, 5:00 p.m. U.S. Central Daylight Time (GMT -5)
Registration
Attendance for the September 20 and October 28 virtual sessions is open to the community, except during breakout sessions scheduled at the end of each day which are limited to people who submitted an abstract, or their delegates, and selected invitees.
Registration fees are not being collected for these LSSW virtual sessions, but registration is required. To continue receiving e-mail updates about these virtual sessions, including Webex login information, complete the electronic registration form for each session.
